Ingredients of Fruity Scones
- You need 2 cups of Flour.
- It's 8 tbs of cold butter.
- You need 1/2 tbs of cinnamon.
- You need 1 tbs of baking powder.
- It's 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- You need 2/3 of of Yogurt. (but milk works well too).
- It's 1 of egg.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of sugar (I use less of of the Yougugt).
- Prepare 2 handful of Dried Mixed friuts.
Fruity Scones step by step
- You will need to Pre heat the Oven.... Put flour, Baking Powder, salt, cinnamon, sugar and mix well... Add in butter and rub in with your fingers until mixture looks like fine crumbs..
- Break the egg into the Yougugt and slightly beat and mix into the dried ingredients. (I.pour in half of the egg and Yougugt mixture) Dough maybe a little crumbled, then add.in the dried mixed.fruit... Then pour in the last egg and Yougugt mixture and.mix to form a dough.. And allow it just sit for awhile so all the flavours come together..
- Place dough on floured suface and knead gently. You can roll into circles about 11/2 inches thick..
- Place wedges on a greased pan slightly apart for crisp sides. Bake for about 12 -15 mins until the to Brown's nicely. (not this depends largely on the thickness of your wedges and consistency of your dough). Allow it to just sit on the baking tray inside the oven to cool off..(After the oven has been switched off.) This gives the Scones that extra crispness....
