Ingredients of Homemade Sourdough

  1. It's 100 ml of Rye flour.
  2. It's 100 ml of Wheat flour.
  3. You need 200 ml of Water.

Homemade Sourdough step by step

  1. Mix the flour mix (rye/wheat) and water in a bowl and leave the bowl uncovered on your kitchen table.
  2. For the next couple of days, every morning add another 100ml of flour mix and water and stir..
  3. After a few days you should see bubbles starting to form, this can take up to a week. Check the smell, if it smells of yeast/vinegar/beer it's good to go! If it smells spoiled, it may have gone bad and you should start a new one..
  4. Once your sourdough is done you can keep it in the fridge, remembering to "feed it" with equal parts flour mix and water every 2 weeks or so!.
